This site was listed as a reference in a Wall Street Journal article on April 1, 2008.  The article, written by Elizabeth Bernstein, was entitled “How to Support a Loved One Reeling From Cancer Diagnosis” and included and interview with one of our favorite people, Lori Hope.  Elizabeth also referenced us in a similar article on the pink-link breast cancer support site (www.pink-link.org).

Hi Doug.  I just wanted to say thanks for the wonderful presentation that you gave today to all of us.  It was truly insightful. Thank you for taking the time to do this!     Kristin

Hi Doug.  I wanted to thank you so much for offering your story in such a gracious, brave and informative way at the recent CCO leadership retreat.  I was invited as a guest.  I was expecting the presentations on e-health and related topics but had no idea that we would have the pleasure and privilege of having you there.  It truly was a privilege to listen to you and I learnt a lot!  I am responsible for implementing a Patient Education Program at a major Cancer centre and your talk provided me with lots of insight and ideas on how we can do this better.  Your talk touched me on both a personal and professional level and I wanted to say thanks.  I wish you all the best and I look forward to keep up with you via your blog.     Tamara

Hi Doug. I took a look at your website. So many excellent posts.  I look forward to reading your book.  I think your attitude is amazing.  I was very touched by your compassion for others surviving cancer, and your compassion for family and friends, who are dealing with cancer in loved ones.  You are truly an inspirational person.  It amazes me how you find time to do all the things you are doing.   Kimberley

    Hi Doug:

I’ve been going through your blog and I understand why it has been promoted in these magazines. This is very helpful. Our journey has been similar although it’s MY hubby who had the cancer. I can relate so well to the caregiver posts.

I am so looking forward to reading your book and you’re right the emotional toll of Cancer is every bit as hard as the symptoms of the disease.

Thank you for writing about this issue.
